From Vicky to her community of pavement dwellers in Delft

6 03 2008

The following is a letter that Vicky, one of the evicted residents in Delft, wrote and distributed to her community a few days ago. We think that it is a good indication of not only how hard it is to live under these conditions, but also how strong and united the community remains given the circumstances:

TO ALL MY FELLOW COMRADES IN DA STRUGGLE

Don’t Give Up!!

You may be tired…
You may feel like you’ve been in the storm 2 long…
Don’t Give Up.
You may feel like the enemy is beating u down…
Don’t Give Up.
You may feel like no one cares and no one sees you…
Don’t Give Up.
You may feel smothered with responsibility work & bills…
Don’t Give Up.
You may feel defeated, angry, hurt, put down and fed up…
Don’t Give Up, God is with you!
In Gods time you breakthrough will come because of your perseverance, faith and your willingness to learn.
Stay open and optimistic, because your next blessing will probably come from the most unexpected person or place.
REMEMBER ALWAYS stay in the Light,
Keep on, keep on.
Be Blessed!
